A: Yes. An Inconel JG / JP gasket can give you high temperature resistance at these temperatures. The Revoseal JG / JP INCONEL metal portion of the gasket completely encapsulates the graphite so that the graphite does not become exposed to the process environment and degrade over time. This creates a metal-to-metal seal (combined with graphite) to provide a virtually leak proof seal design. The graphite will not react or contaminate the process or degrade over time when in contact with the process. This sealing allows the Revoseal JG / JP gasket to handle temperatures as high as 1832F. If and when the gasket is to be removed, the graphite does not require much effort to remove from the flange surfaces compared to other graphite and fiber type flanges.
