Q: We require materials with low outgassing (conforming to ASTM-E595) for use in a satellite and I have yet to find a polymer screw that could meet these requirements. Any ideas?
A: I checked PEEK in NASA’s material out-gassing database. It looks like it will most likely meet the 1% total mass loss and 0.1% collectible volatile condensable material we need.
