Q: I’m a research engineer and I wanted to see if you could comment on the maximum temperatures of MP35N. I’ve heard that it can be used to 1200F. Is this the case, and what would the strength be at this temperature?
A: Regarding higher temperatures for MP35N bolts, I know, if you go beyond 1000F you begin the aging process and could permanently alter the materials strength properties. So typically this is not recommended for MP35N bolts.
