Certificates of Conformance (CoC) for Fasteners

Q:What is included in a fastener certificate of conformance?
A: A Certificate of Conformance for fasteners – often called a CoC – focus on the part dimensions, additional processing and compliance certificates.  It confirms the dimensions of the part and states that these fasteners meet any of the customers requested industry standards such as ASME B18.6.3, UNS S66286, or ASTM A453 for example and notes additions processing like passivation, coatings or inspections. A CoC can also provide statements that the fasteners meet Mercury Free requirements and are REACH or RoHS compliant. The CoC does not certify mechanical data or chemistry of the raw material.
