Incoloy Bolts for High Temperatures

Q: I have a need for a high temperature bolts that will be used in continuous heat at about 1000F. Any suggestions? Also, will fluctuations in temperature cause breakage?

A: One of the best materials for long-term continual exposure to high temperatures are Incoloy bolts. The Incoloy 800 series will probably work for your applications, providing you aren’t utilizing the bolts in high concentration acids. Incoloy 800HT bolts offer the one of the best high temperature properties for this class of alloy and has a max operating limit of about ~1500F.
